Recently, I painted five more old Necron Warriors and five Immortals.
In contrast to the Necron Warriors, the Immortals are bulkier and far more intimidating. Their larger frames and heavier weaponry make them a menacing foe. Nevertheless, the simple Warriors look great next to the imposing Immortals, creating a diverse and striking force.
With these models finished, I'll soon have enough painted miniatures to play my first "40k in 40 minutes" games.
Oh, those Immortals are really chonky! These 25mm bases look so small compared to what we are used to with modern miniatures - but at the time, even Space Marine Terminators came with the small bases!
ReplyDeleteI love how the collection fits together!
Thank you. As soon as I've finished this little troop I'll take some nice staged pictures on the game board.
DeleteLove the old school Necrons! They have changed a good bit since those days.
ReplyDeleteYes, that's right. But somehow the old models still look good. Compared to the new models, they even look a bit darker and more sinister.
DeleteThose are very cool: I like the chunky retroness of the metal necrons. The turquoise on the armour is a nice hint at the Egyptian influence without being too obvious. Good stuff!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!
