Adeptus Titanicus: Warhound Scout Titans

Over the holidays I dug into the Adeptus Titanicus rules and the epic battles between those god-like machines at the time of the Horus Heresy. I have a huge pile of shame regarding Adeptus Titanicus and at least I could finish these two bad boys before the end of the year - two Warhound Scout Titans of Legio Gryphonicus:

Soon, there will be much more of this stuff...

Blitz Bowl: Blight Marsh Runners

"Quick and dirty" is not only the way I painted this Skaven Team, but it is also the tactic this team prefers to play...

Iron Hands: Leviathan Dreadnought

This Dreadnought is a little bit late for Dreadtober, but I want to show him nevertheless. It is such a nice model and I had great fun painting it. By the way, the weapon arms are magnetized and there is more to come... 😜

Blitz Bowl: Red Fangs Raiders

My second Blitz Bowl Team is ready for the pitch. I really struggled with the green skin and needed more than one attempt to get it somewhat right. But I am really satisfied with the red on the armour (silver undercoat - Tamiya Clear Red - thinned Carroburg Crimson - silver highlights).

I've finished the new team just in time for their first games, yesterday. A friend of mine came over and we had a "Blitz Bowl Game Night" including some snacks an alcoholic beverages. What a blast!

By the way, at Barnes and Nobles, you can get some new Blitz Bowl stuff! If you don't know Blitz Bowl, just give it a try. The initial investment is less than $ 50 or 40 €! Trust me, you will not regret it. 😅

Iron Hands: Apothecary

With the new Space Marines Codex and the Iron Hands Supplement, especially vehicles in my army became tough as nails. To make my infantry units even harder to kill, I painted an old Apothecary on foot. This is my second Apothecary after the one on a bike, I did a few years ago. I hope you like him and that he does well on the battlefield.

Speaking of older times, I bought myself a little treasure for my collection... It will be fun to browse through all that fluff.

Iron Hands: Devastator Marines with Lascannons

Here are four new Devastator Marines with Lascannons for my Iron Hands. My army was lacking long-range anti-vehicle weaponry and these dudes should fill this gap quite nicely.

Oh my, I am really looking forward to my first game. Of course, I am going to use all those newly special rules for my guys! 😝

Iron Hands: Malkaan Feirros (Conversion)

I did an easy and quick conversion to have a miniature for Malkaan Feirros. I didn't try to mimic the new one, because I used an old Techmarine miniature. I now, in fact, have a miniature of Malkaan before he became a Primaris hipster. 😬

Blitz Bowl: Starting a Dwarf Team

Well, here a the first two miniatures for my second (still nameless) Blitz Bowl Dwarf team. I found it hard to decide on a colour scheme and tried different ones, but eventually landed somewhere near the one on the Dwarf team box. 😏

Retro-Nids: Makeover

As you might know, I am a child of the 2nd Edition of Warhammer 40.000 and like some older models more than their newer cousins. Take the old Tyranid models for example. They are so iconic and I still remember seeing them in the White Dwarf for the first time.

A few years ago I started to buy some of those old models and paint them in their classic paint schemes. That's something I couldn't do over 20 years ago, moneywise and in regard to my painting skills.

Last week I dusted off my models and rebased them. After that, I went off to a small tournament (40k in 40 minutes) with some friends. I  had a lot of fun with my models but got beaten up pretty bad...

Adeptus Titanicus: Questoris Knight Banner

A few months ago I tried to paint my first Knight for Adeptus Titanicus, but it looked so crappy that it went to the pile of shame and I didn't touch it until last week. A friend of mine asked me about Adeptus Titanicus and except the Reaver and some buildings, I couldn't show much. Well, of course, there were the boxes I bought a year ago and the crappy Knight.

The same evening I started to paint my Knight. This time in a way I wouldn't be ashamed of. *laugh*
I hope you like them and now that I've tasted blood there will be more of Adeptus Titanicus in the next weeks.

Blitz Bowl: Building a Stadium / Pitch - Finished! (Part III)

This is my final version of a 3D Blitz Bowl pitch. It is based on the original gaming board and the game itself a simpler version of good old Blood Bowl. I gave posters, banners and floor writing a try, but it didn't work out and therefore I kept the pitch simple.

Here are two possible versions of the pitch with two trap doors. The pillars are also moveable, so the games shouldn't get boring too fast. In any case, I am thrilled for the first games.

And now it is time to zoom in and give it a better look...
