No Blood For The Blood God Today

There are no new miniatures to present today, but some pictures of my last battle against Captain_Valerius and his fantastic Daemonkin army. We played one of the Maelstorm missions from the rulebook with 2500 points per side.

I was so afraid of Kytan, the Bloodthirster and all the other melee badasses, that I left all my tanks on the shelf. Besides my Iron Hands Marines, I took my Imperial Knight and a small inquisitional contingent.

The first rounds didn't go well. Kytan simply didn't go down despite a huge torrent of fire. Furthermore, I drew some unfortunate tactical mission cards. However, I managed to stop the advance of the Daemonkin with my designated close combat units. From turn three on, the tables slowly turned.

It was a pretty intensive battle that went on until game turn number five. Then my Imperial Knight decided the game by stomping the Blood Thirster and Lord of Khorne on Juggernaut to death. After that, the Daemonkin gave up.  :D
