Here comes my second Venerable Contemptor Dreadnought for the Adeptus Custodes. This guy is based on the Custodes Contemptor Galatus Dreadnought from Forgeworld. Sadly there are no 40k rules for the Forgeworld model yet and so I equipped him with a Kheres Assault Cannon and will play him as a normal Venerable Contemptor Dreadnought in my next 40k games.
I attached magnets on the left arm and therefore can switch the Kheres Assault Cannon with the Praesidium shield (still unpainted), if needed.
Finally, this "golden boy" reminds me of an old anime intro...
Awesome :)
ReplyDeleteWhat's your recipe for the gold?
Thanks!
DeleteReceipe:
1. golden spray paint from my local hardware store
2. Agrax Earthshade everywhere
3. P3 Rhulic Gold
4. Reikland Fleshade, where needed
5. Highlights with Game Color Silver
Fantastic work! It looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!
DeleteCool! Excellent work, man!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!
DeleteHow did you do the arm conversion? My email: Gregorybupp@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThanks
There is hardly any conversion. The joints were designed in the way by Forgeworld that the underams are detachable.
DeleteThanks for getting back to me. So if you get the Custodes Dreadnought FW kit + the Kheres Assault Cannon FW blister it has everything needed to do this?
ReplyDeleteI cannot speak for the FW Kheres Assault Cannon, but the one from the plastic Contemptor kit worked just fine.
