Order of the Sacred Rose - Converted Immolator #2

I built and painted another custom version of an Immolator using mostly the modern Rhino chassis, old second edition metal parts and plasticard.

Here are the two converted Immolators side by side. Converted?!
If the non-Sororitas players don't notice the conversion at all and the Sororitas players think the kitbashed tanks are kinda cool, I guess I did everything right.

Sisters of Battle - Morvenn Vahl [Conversion]

The other day, I couldn't resist and got one of the new Sisters of Battle miniatures - Morvenn Vahl.

The scale creep does not matter with this kind of model in comparison with the old metal Sisters. Furthermore, even in casual games, it is becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with the meta if you completely ignore the units. Morvenn Vahl is a beautiful miniature with really good rules, which makes everything even easier.

What I didn't quite like was the original positioning of the spear arm. Here is my simple fix for this problem:

I had to break her arm in "only" three places. 😂

The new pose might not be that lively, but this way, she is much easier to transport and to place on the battlefield, especially in close combat.

Iron Hands: Ancient in Terminator Armour

After one and a half years, I finally finished this small converted miniature - an Ancient in Terminator Armour for my Iron Hands army.

Iron Hands: Space Marine Centurions [Conversion]

I found this very cool conversion tutorial for Space Marines Centurions. Therefore, as a Christmas present, I bought myself a box of those ugly Space Marines Centurions and wanted to convert them for my Iron Hands army.

As the Iron Hands saw what the Forges of Mars had delivered them, they covered their eyes and quickly began to make modifications to please the Omnissiah even more. I call this the "Medusa-Centurion" variant.

Here is also a WIP-shot:

In any case, I think they look much better than the original models now.

Looking at the rules, GW doesn't like centurions at all. Even for casual games, they are way too expensive. I will probably play them as Aggressors instead.

Hopefully, something will change in Chapter Approved 2022...

I also took a picture to compare the size:

Order of the Sacred Rose - Penitent Engine Conversion

Over time Cardinal Grassus turned his attention more and more to his private amusements and neglected his office. Eventually he became increasingly greedy and diverted parts of the Imperial tithe from his homeworld to finance his dissolute lifestyle. This did not go unnoticed. He confessed his crimes and was integrated into a penitent engine. In this way he was given the opportunity to find absolution for his sins in death...

Order of the Sacred Rose - Zephyrim Conversions

I wasn't lazy during the last evenings and went on to convert the miniatures for a Zephyrim Squad for my Sisters of Battle.

Since there will be only "Heavy Metal" Sisters in my army, I was faced with the problem that there are only plastic Zephyrim available. Therefore, I decided to convert some Zephyrimfrom normal, old pewter Seraphim miniatures. Nevertheless, I had to fall back to a few new plastic bits.

The new Seraphim box contains parts for both types of backpacks (Seraphim / Zephyrim). But you can only build one variant completely. I was lucky and got the leftover parts for the Zephyrim backpacks. With the help of some good old "Oyumaru" aka "Instant Mold", I moulded the missing parts with Milliput.

On three Sisters I had to remove one hand each with a bolt pistol and replaced them with hands holding plastic swords. However, the plastic hands are much more delicate than the ones on the pewter models, so I had to touch them up with some Greenstuff (the rivets on the glove are still missing):

Ready to paint!

Order of the Sacred Rose - Missionary/Preacher aka Redemptor Kyrinov

Since I used Junith Eriutas Body for my Imagifier conversion, I had her hovering pulpit left over. At the same time, I had Redemptor Kyrinov's miniature lying around here for about ten years. I put one and one together... Et voilà!

Order of the Sacred Rose - Repressor Overhaul - Finished

I really have to be careful not to overdo the weathering on my tank models. 😅

Well, scratch-built Repressor is finished and the weathering helps to cover up the building botched work I've done. I am curious how this creation stands up to the original model.

Order of the Sacred Rose - Repressor Overhaul

Some of you might remember my scratch-built Repressor from a few years ago. Due to the lack of a good template I wasn't able to build the typical Repressor shovel at that time. The conversion kit was no longer available via Forgeworld and on Ebay it sold for around € 100 - a bit too expensive for my taste.

In the meantime, however, I got my hands on such a kit and therefore it is time to finally build the typical repressor shovel and paint the Repressor in the Order of the Sacred Rose colour scheme!

1. The rough shape looks good so far:

2. Finer details are added:

 3. Rivets are glued on and gaps are filled:

4. Finished!

Order of the Sacred Rose - Imagifier

I had an idea of how I can make an Imagifier for my Sisters of Battle with the old pewter miniatures.

The old Sisters of Battle miniatures with Simulacrum Imperialis were out of the question because they still exist today. But not the old Standard-bearers! Now, I only needed a Sister that I could put on the banner pole.

I tried some of the older pewter minis first, but their poses didn't fit and they were ultimately too heavy so that the designated Imagifier fell over. Therefore, I was looking for a suitable new Sororita made of plastic and actually found it - Junith Eruita! I rebuilt her left hand slightly and gave her an hourglass with roses from the Imperial Wizard kit. Now, I only have to come up with of some fluff for this reverent sister now.

What do you think?

"Junith Eruita on a stick."

Order of the Sacred Rose - Converted Immolator - Finished!

And here is the finished model. I might have overdone the weathering here and there a bit, but it should look alright on the tabletop. The older and newer parts fit together just fine, don't you think?

Order of the Sacred Rose - Converted Immolator

Next up is an converted Immolator for my sisters, which I'm particularly looking forward to painting. But it is no standard configuration. Instead, I flanged the metal components of the classic immolator to the MKII Immolator body and added the new obligatory heavy bolter and added the side plates from the old Exorcist model.

Adeptus Titanicus: Slaanesh Cerastus Knights?!

The idea of an army of tainted or even corrupted Knights and Titans for Adeptus Titanicus lingered a long time in my head. Therefore I collected bits over the last months and tried different things out. Eventually, I decided to go for a Slaanesh-themed army and started the first conversions.

Later on, I needed more than one go to find the right colour scheme and the right techniques to do it. I also printed my own decals because I could not find enough or the right ones. Here are my first two Slannesh Cerastus Knights. As you can see, they are somewhat different from their loyal counterparts, but not too much. I swapped the shock lances for Slaanesh Hellstrider Claw-spears, took some armoured heads from Age of Sigmar and put the Hellstrider Shields on top of the Ion Shield Gauntlets. On some miniatures, small horns and spikes are also protruding from the carapaces.

I wanted to do more stuff like converting the legs, but that looked stupid and my moulding skills with green stuff are not so good. But I am satisfied nevertheless because this way the miniatures look not too much over the top. What do you think?

Here is my first test miniature and be sure there is much more to come...

Iron Hands: Malkaan Feirros (Conversion)

I did an easy and quick conversion to have a miniature for Malkaan Feirros. I didn't try to mimic the new one, because I used an old Techmarine miniature. I now, in fact, have a miniature of Malkaan before he became a Primaris hipster. 😬
